A great book I was introduced to recently was "Challenges for Game Designers" by Brenda Brathwaite. I haven't read it, but it is now on my wish list. The paper challenges the (rather naive) notion that the agenda of game designers coincides with that of their eventual players. Dear Class, One of your classmates, Joseph Goldberg, wrote to suggest "Challenges for Game Designers" by Brenda Brathwaite and Ian Schreiber. The Design Challenge is an exercise in becoming a game developer, asking you to look at games in a new way -- from the perspective of a game creator, producer, marketer, businessperson, and so forth. Game design is often taught by people who have no game design expertise, usually programmers who really want to be teaching programming but are using games to entice people into learning programming. Since I'm trying to go through the book Challenges for Game Designers in addition to my P2PU adventures, I thought I'd be creative and take this task's suggestion to create a game for my DNS artifact.
